Kay's Music

In addition to visual art, I enjoy composing and performing guitar and vocal music.  

I write about the usual things, really: romance, family, home...in sometimes unusual

(or amusing) ways. A friend once told me that I do the same with songs as

 with pigments: paint pictures. -Pictures that come alive in the listener's

imagination and stay there for a while. I like to think that's true.  Influences are

Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, and Roseann Cash

so my own work is of a similar feel. It is a true joy to be able to share my songs

(as well as those of other artists) with others looking to relax, reflect,

and just be blessed, whether at weddings, memorials,  private parties, concerts,

or cafe/club venues. My mission is summed up nicely by Billy Joel's lyric:

"Sing us a song, you're the piano man - sing us a song tonight,

We're all in a mood for a melody, and you've got us feelin' all right."

(I know. I play guitar and am not a man. But you get the idea.)
