In addition to visual art, I enjoy composing and performing guitar and vocal music.
I write about the usual things, really: romance, family, home...in sometimes unusual
(or amusing) ways. A friend once told me that I do the same with songs as
with pigments: paint pictures. -Pictures that come alive in the listener's
imagination and stay there for a while. I like to think that's true. Influences are
Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, and Roseann Cash
so my own work is of a similar feel. It is a true joy to be able to share my songs
(as well as those of other artists) with others looking to relax, reflect,
and just be blessed, whether at weddings, memorials, private parties, concerts,
or cafe/club venues. My mission is summed up nicely by Billy Joel's lyric:
"Sing us a song, you're the piano man - sing us a song tonight,
We're all in a mood for a melody, and you've got us feelin' all right."
(I know. I play guitar and am not a man. But you get the idea.)
Please enjoy samples of my music below as well as clips from my album, "Simply Love."
And watch my blog page for upcoming engagements, new products, etc.
Thank you and God bless you!

Kay's Album "Simply Love"
"Simply Love is a pop-folk-country collection (with a touch of jazz). It is a bright, soulful mix of colorful originals straight from the sound palette of this multi-talented singer-songwriter. From vibrant dabs of humor to deep, rich strokes of sentiment and soul, Kay takes us to places we haven't been in a while...through hometown walkways, up streets of hope and promise, and back home to the porch with those we love most, and all things sweet and simple. Each song is a painting all its own." -Wingbourne Music Publications
"Kay is an exciting new talent, writing and recording fresh music that will make request lines light up." -- the late J. Ralph Carter, Radio Programming Consultant
